Rosie the Respirator Maker

Beginner Sewing Camp is designed specifically for kids (ages 8+) who are new to sewing or have limited sewing experience. In this camp, students will learn to use a sewing machine and make multiple projects that they can show off to friends and family while learning the basics. Campers will strut their stuff and debut their designs on the catwalk at the popular SSC Red Carpet Fashion Show!
Each camp session features a different collection of projects and will conclude with a pizza party and style show on the final day.
Camp fee is $135 for the weekKids ages 8-15
Campers should bring their machine, a basic sewing kit, and project supplies, machines will be provided for those that need them.
Registration required so call the Shreveport Sewing Center at 318-688-2402.

New to the sewing world? Let us teach you the basics with some easy projects to get you sewing quickly.

Beginner Sewing Class Objectives
• Learn basic sewing skills
• Sewing machine & tool basics
• Sewing seams
• Sewing Terminology
• Three 3 hr sessions

Mastered the basics? Move your sewing skills to the next level. Adjust a pattern for your size. Choose and cut fabric expertly. Go beyond basics with zippers and more. Get started with a garment of your choice.

Kids Sewing

Kids sewing meets the second Saturday of the month from 9 am -12 pm except in June, July, August and October at a cost of $35 per session. Children must be at least 8 years of age to participate. Call the store for reservations 318-688-2402

Learn new and different ways to use your serger, share tips and tricks and stitch out a quick project. All types of machines are welcome; however, the user should be proficient in threading and operation of the machine and the machine must be in good working order. Kit charges, if applicable. Reservations are appreciated so that we can plan.

Cameo Club

Last Wednesday of every other month

Explore new and different ways to use your Cameo Silhouette machine. Sessions cover software, design creation, cutting and project ideas. Students have fun making their creative ideas come true with the assistance of experienced instructors. Reservations are appreciated so that we can plan.
